I just wanted to share some thoughts with you today...
With such a tight budget and the holidays quickly approaching, it's been kind of hard for me to get into the spirit of things. I have had alot going on these past few months and it has been difficult for me to find happiness in my life. We are barely making our mortgage payments, my son needs financial help with his rushed December 21 wedding, and the little kids are all expecting Christmas gifts. On top if it all, we rarely give our tithes to the church. Something that I don't take lightly.
I have been praying for months that I will find a way to earn some extra income and be able to contribute something to the household budget. I considered a home daycare, but it's already impossible enough to take care of the housework and my own little kids. I thought of taking on a part time job outside of the home, but after paying for child care, I would be in the negative!
So, in the meantime I continue to make dolls. I love it and God blessed me with the talent to do it. I wake up every day and check the computer first thing in the morning, praying that I sold something in one of my doll shoppes. But today it hit me. I have been thinking and praying the wrong way! I should have been praying for God to show me how to use my talent in a way that gives thanks to Him. When I give thanks to Him, I will be rewarded! God will provide what we need.
So, how can I be a generous giver when we are struggling from pay check to pay check (which by the way hubby gets paid once a month)? I have decided that I will take 10% of my doll income and pay my tithes to the church. I will pray that God will provide us with whatever else we need. This way, I am using my talent and giving back to Him. Which will make me feel a million times better!
Now some of you may think I am silly for posting this but that's ok. I just felt moved to share some personal thoughts with you.
Hugs,
Crystal

Crystal! I enjoyed your message, and I really needed it. In times like this it is difficult to remember to love, to give, to pray for guidance, and that god rewards those who have faith. So many of us are struggling in life. I will keep you and others in my prayers,
keep on smiling and giving!
Goode Evening... Crystal
Your post touched home with me... the same here in many ways. We live day to day... I try not to look at the whole picture. It gets alittle overwhelming if I do.
I hope you many blessings, Pamela
